Prep Cook/Cook III Needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ingredient Preparation: Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food to maintain quality standards.
  • Fresh Produce Handling: Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables with care.
  • Measurement and Mixing: Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately, following recipes and food preparation checklists.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook food according to recipes, adhering to quality and presentation standards.
  • Cold Food Preparation: Skillfully prepare cold foods as required.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, with precision.
  • Quality Control: Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, and monitor food quality during the cooking process.
  • Station Management: Set up and break down your work station efficiently.
  • Food Service: Serve food in proper portions onto suitable receptacles, ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
  • Sanitization: Wash and disinfect the kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Temperature Checks: Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food to meet safety standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all company and safety policies and procedures, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to a manager, and completing safety training and certifications.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues.
  • Teamwork: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team goals, and respond appropriately to the concerns of fellow employees.
  • Physical Requirements: Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time, perform tasks that involve reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Adaptability: Be ready to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors to ensure kitchen efficiency.
