Laundry Attendant (Washperson) Needed

This role is essential in our operation, ensuring that all laundry items are thoroughly cleaned, treated, and maintained in accordance with company standards. From handling soiled laundry to operating machinery and maintaining accurate records, you will be a crucial part of our team, upholding the values of professionalism, confidentiality, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laundry Handling: Remove and separate soiled laundry from chutes or housekeeping carts efficiently.
- Machine Operation: Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery in line with company standards.
- Stain Treatment: Apply the appropriate treatment to stained items based on fabric and stain type to achieve the best results.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of items washed, number of loads, and dry cleaning and laundry poundage.
- Loading and Drying: Transport the cart of washed articles to dryers and place them according to load size.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load to ensure machine efficiency.
- Chemical Handling: Monitor chemical containers to ensure proper dispensing and promptly report any potential pump problems to a supervisor or manager.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Professionalism: Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect the confidentiality of proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
- Team Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond appropriately to their concerns.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to quality expectations and standards by visually inspecting tools, equipment, and machines to identify defects.
- Physical Requirements: Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or an entire work shift. Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Flexibility: Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors to contribute to the team’s success.
