Healthcare Development Liaison / First Responder

Employment Type: Per-Diem/Part-Time with Flexible Schedule

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Director of Hospital Development

General Summary:We are seeking a healthcare professional who will not only serve as a first responder but also as a strategic planner and educator. This role entails significant involvement in quality assessment, policy development, and community education with a strong emphasis on enhancing organ/tissue donation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize hospital plans for donation performance.
  • Engage in quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Respond on-site at hospitals for evaluations and maintain open lines of communication with the development director.
  • Act as a public educator on organ/tissue donation processes.
  • Participate in annual training and adhere to regulatory standards.

Strategic Travel and Flexibility:

  • Must be willing to travel frequently between the islands of St. Thomas and St. Croix.
  • Availability for travel to Puerto Rico as required.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate varying work hours and on-call duties.

Job Specifications:

  • A degree in marketing, medical, social work, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills for diverse audience engagement.
  • Autonomous work ethic with the ability to maintain effective communication with supervisors.
  • Must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driving license, and a good driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • The role involves travel and flexibility in scheduling to meet the dynamic needs of the hospital development initiatives.
  • Residency within the assigned service area is preferred for logistical ease.
