Bellman Needed

Are you a warm and welcoming individual with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Bellman. As a Bellman, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a friendly greeting, assistance with luggage, and valuable information about our property and the local area. Your role is vital in ensuring our guests feel well cared for and informed. We are seeking someone who can maintain a professional appearance, uphold confidentiality, and be a reliable team member.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Welcoming: Greet and escort guests to their rooms, offering a warm welcome to the property.
  • Assistance: Open doors and assist guests and visitors when entering and leaving the property.
  • Informative Service: Inform guests about property amenities, services, operating hours, and local points of interest and activities.
  • Room Orientation: Identify and explain room features to guests, including the use of room keys, mini-bars, ice and vending areas, in-room safes, and valet laundry services.
  • Luggage Handling: Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms or designated bell areas, as well as assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Vehicle Assistance: Aid guests and visitors in getting in and out of vehicles, including loading and unloading luggage.
  • Directions: Provide guests with directions and arrange transportation options, such as taxi cabs, shuttle buses, or limousine/sedan services. Record advance transportation requests as needed.
  • Parking Procedures: Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to a manager, and maintain awareness of undesirable persons on the property premises.
  • Professionalism: Ensure a clean and professional appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, welcome and acknowledge all guests, and anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Communication Skills: Speak with others using clear and professional language, answer telephones with appropriate etiquette, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Physical Requirements: Perform physical tasks, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects of varying weights. Move on various surfaces, including sloping, uneven, or slippery ones, and navigate stairs and service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop. Read and visually verify information in various formats, and move at a speed required to respond to work situations.
  • Adaptability: Be ready to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors to ensure guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of the property.
