Expectations/Requirements
- Supervise Laundry operations and attendants for efficiency and profitability
- Ensure constant supply of clean linens and uniforms for the hotel
- Complete inventory of uniforms and linens
- Conduct monthly inventory of laundry supplies
- Report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to manager/supervisor
- Train employees on laundry procedures, safety procedures, and equipment operation
- Verify completion of laundry requests for each department
- Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
- Inspect linens and terry for damage
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
- Maintain uniform, personal appearance, and confidentiality of proprietary information
- Communicate clearly and professionally in spoken and written language
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Identify and implement ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or entire work shifts
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar position in a full-service hotel
- Minimum light level computer skills
- Prior experience in Marriott Hotels or full-service hotel brand preferred
