Healthcare Development Liaison / First Responder

General Summary:We are seeking a healthcare professional who will not only serve as a first responder but also as a strategic planner and educator. This role entails significant involvement in quality assessment, policy development, and community education with a strong emphasis on enhancing organ/tissue donation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize hospital plans for donation performance.
- Engage in quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives.
- Respond on-site at hospitals for evaluations and maintain open lines of communication with the development director.
- Act as a public educator on organ/tissue donation processes.
- Participate in annual training and adhere to regulatory standards.
Strategic Travel and Flexibility:
- Must be willing to travel frequently between the islands of St. Thomas and St. Croix.
- Availability for travel to Puerto Rico as required.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate varying work hours and on-call duties.
Job Specifications:
- A degree in marketing, medical, social work, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills for diverse audience engagement.
- Autonomous work ethic with the ability to maintain effective communication with supervisors.
- Must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driving license, and a good driving record.
Working Conditions:
- The role involves travel and flexibility in scheduling to meet the dynamic needs of the hospital development initiatives.
- Residency within the assigned service area is preferred for logistical ease.
